NORTHUMBRIA UNI classes at Sports Central

A range of 45 min Yoga classes that work ideally as rescue from office/Uni stress and as warm up and cool down before/after other forms of exercise. As classes are short the pace is relatively quick. Breathing and relaxation practices are always included but are obviously short to create a well balanced Yoga class.

Relaxed, friendly environment catering for all abilities from beginner to those with considerable experience of Yoga practice. Teaching self awareness techniques to help you to manage existing physical or emotional issues such as stress and muscular aches and pains more effectively.

There is a focus on strength as well as flexibility and bandhas are used to enhance postural alignment so that benefits from practice are greatly increased.

Please bring own mat and a blanket or warm clothes for relaxation as this helps the body to unwind.

Classes held in the main hall of HARDMAN CENTRE,DRYDEN ROAD,GATESHEAD NE9 5HP. Side door (next to childrens’ outdoor playarea is open around 10 mins before class and is usually locked during class session. PAMPER YOGA: Making being pregnant easier.

Many of us now have to work throughout pregnancy or have other children / committments that adversely affect our stress levels.

In addition to the Mon eve 4 person sessions, Yogalution is now offering a weekly group class that keeps costs down for you. Cost is just £6/ session payable as a half term block.

Please bring OWN MAT, BLANKET AND CUSHION FOR RELAXATION.
To ensure maximum safety for you while exercising I have teamed up with Caireen Hart, a local Pregnancy Yoga teacher and we will be teaching these sessions together.

These sessions are very gentle and are suitable from the moment you know you are pregnant until you decide you no longer need them.

We work on maintaining core muscles, easing out aches and pains and prepare you for labour physically and emotionally through breath work and visualisation.

THESE SESSIONS ALLOW YOU TO EXPLORE WHO YOU ARE EMOTIONALLY AND HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT YOUR PREGNANCY WEEK BY WEEK. They are a lifeline at a time when life is at one of its most challenging times.

pre school Yoga coming soon

sessions for toddlers and those confident in walking up to age 3years/4 years (end of nursery school).

45min sessions comprising 30mins movement and 15mins story, breathing and relaxation.

Parents/ carers need to be present in the room but do not need to join in with the session unless they wish to (though it would be nice!)

BABY YOGA NE9 area and Newcastle area class planned for second week in Jan

Rumning regularly throughout the year. 6 week intro courses suitable from 4 weeks old. Block cost £36. Class size 3 to a max of 10 babies so that you get the most out of the sessions.

Sessions are very flexible to your week to week needs, working on your body as well as on benefits for baby.

Frequent comments from Mums include,
“ my baby is so chilled out after Yoga sessions, it makes me feel more relaxed”.

“The baby Yoga movements and massage always seem to help to alleviate constipation”.

“It really helps me to know there is a time in the week when I can just spend quality time with my baby and not feel I should be rushing around.”

The sessions combine age appropriate massage and movement techniques for baby and movements for you to improve core stability, increase strength and ease out muscle aches as well as working to straighten out pelvic misalignment due to pregnancy/carrying baby after birth.

Having had twins myself. I am comfortable to have multiples as part of these groups. All babies welcome..crying is part of babylife so don’t feel you can’t come because you feel you haven’t got a handle on things…that’s the time when you need the support!!

Running regularly throughout the year: gentle yoga and an opportunity for simple treatments such as pedicure, manicure and neck/shoulder/head massage. socialise with like minded people to keep you relaxed and beautiful throughout your pregnancy. Ticketed events. Further information shortly.

Pregnancy Yoga small group classes and 1:1/partner sessions

4 person classes running Mon eve 7pm. No need to bring equipment..all provided to use. Partner sessions available for you to explore your pregnancy and any anxieties with your birthing partner before labour. (£10/session as a 3 session block)

1:1 sessions available by appointment (£30/hour)
