Targets can be a very useful way of focusing our efforts. Our adrenaline levels increase and we strive to do our best. However, if we work this way without regular time out, we become unable to unwind. In time this manifests as poor sleep patterns and can lead to ill health.
Yoga is a valuable tool for improving mental focus and raising productivity at work. Sessions are most effective when slotted into the working day, as they have the added benefit of encouraging a sense of team spirit.
As well as addressing issues of stress, research has repeatedly shown that yoga can improve posture and reduce back and other repetitive strain injuries caused by desk-based working.
